Workshop on Parliamentary Debate

 

Debating and Public Speaking Club under the direction of Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW) organized a workshop titled Workshop on Parliamentary Debate on November 26, 2017. Air Cdre (Retd.) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Director, DSW inaugurated the program.

At this workshop, several sessions were conducted on basics of parliamentary debate and related contemporary issues. Nationally reputed debaters namely Mr. Mahdi Hasan Khan, UFPO, BCS 31st Batch, Bangladesh Civil Service and Ex-President, Bangabandhu Hall Debating Club, University of Dhaka, Mr. Ashikur Rahaman Apu, Senior Reporter, ATN News and Ex-President, SM Hall Debating Club, University of Dhaka, and Mr. Omar Faruque Fahim, Lecturer, Department of Law, Daffodil International University, and Ex-Debater, Dhaka University Debating Society conducted the workshop.

The workshop was attended by among others Md. Tarek Khan, Assistant Director, DSW, and Md. Lokman Hussain, Lecturer, Department of Law and Human Rights and Adviser, Debating and Public Speaking Club, University of Asia Pacific.
